This is one of the "What Would You Do?" campaign ads for television from AMC. Some people may wonder why the cars are being pushed in for the public to see. Prototype cars of the future would always have full scale models built that would be pushed into the display areas for auto shows. The message AMC wanted to convey was that the new AMC models were the latest concept in vehicles for the 70's.
Hornet SC/360 offers a performance package with a 360-cid V-8, producing 245 horsepower with the standard two-barrel, and 285 horsepower equipped with a four-barrel. An optional four-speed gearbox with Hurst linkage was offered, and all models would burn regular gasoline. The Hornet SC/360 was only available in a two-door sedan with wide tape striping, Styled steel wheels with beauty rings. Only 784 Hornet SC/360's were built.
